Trial Titles

"Trialer" Title

The title of TRIALER will only be awarded in trials where a CACT is to be won.

To deserve this title the dog must have been awarded:

• either two “Very Good” ratings on natural game trial, wherefrom at least one in an open trial ;
• either two ‘Excellent” ratings on released game trial, wherefrom at least one in an open trial ;
• either one “Very Good” on natural game plus one “Excellent” on released game, wherefrom at least one in an open trial.

The CACT and RCACT won in an Amateur trial may be considered for these awards, but no other award will be.

The awards won in interclub trials involving four breeds will be considered as equivalent to awards won in open trials.

The Club de l’Epagneul Breton requires at least a classification “Very Good” in a specialty show (“Spéciale de Race”), and a HD test not worse than “C”.

Continental pointing dogs: males

4 CACT solo wherefrom at least one in an open trial.
2 RCACT may replace one CACT.

Continental pointing dogs: females

3 CACT or 3 RCACT solo and at least one of them deserved in an open trial.

Spring FT champion title: Solely awards won in partridge spring trials and in natural game summer trials will be considered to get a Spring Champion title. Only one award won in natural game summer trial, club or partial interclub will be taken into account.

Automn FT champion title: Solely awards won in trials with shot game with imperative retrieval or awards won according the article #97 will be considered.

One of these awards must be won in a trial with imperative retrieval. Only one award can be won in a club or partial interclub trial.

In order to ratify the title, the clubs can require a successful deep water retrieval test. This specific test will be organized by the concerned breed associations.

Wild game FT champion title: Only wild game birds which cannot be breeded are concerned: woodcocks, snipes and mountain birds (Western capercailles, Hazel grouses, Rock ptarmigans and Rock partridges). Only one award can be won in a club or partial interclub trial. The game is not shot down but a shot is absolutely imperative. A retrieval test with dead birds is not required.

Awards must be deserved with two differents types of these game birds: woodcocks, snipes, mountain birds.

3 - Common measures

• All the CACT obtained either in solo or couple can be used to ratify the titles, but no more than one club or partial interclub trial CACT will be permitted.
• Moreover, Epagneuls Bretons must have a HD-rating not worse than "C".
